Deleting reports

You can delete reports from the Batch Processor as needed unless they are being previewed.

Note: Deleting reports that are in the Batch Processor requires the "Reports" and "Batch Processor, Delete Reports" security rights. Also, deleting reports that have been generated in clinics other than the one that you are logged in to requires the "Office, Report Multiple Clinics" security right.

To delete reports

In Office Manager, do one of the following:

If you are going to delete reports based on status, you do not need to select the reports to delete.

If you are going to delete all reports, you do not need to select the reports to delete.

If you are going to delete specific reports, select the reports to delete.

Notes:

To select multiple reports, click a report, and then, while holding down the Shift or Ctrl key, click the other desired reports.

Do not try to delete a report that is currently being previewed. If a report that you want to delete has a status that starts with "Schd" in the Status column, verify that the Dentrix Print Preview window is closed.

Do one of the following:

Click the Delete Report(s) button on the toolbar.

Note: This button is available only if your user account has been granted the "Reports" security right.

On the File menu, click Delete.

Note: This option is available only if your user account has been granted the "Reports" security right.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Batch Processor, Delete Reports dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Batch Processor, Delete Reports" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Batch Processor, Delete Reports" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Batch Processor, Delete Reports" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete reports this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Batch Processor, Delete Reports" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete reports this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Batch Processor, Delete Reports dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

The Delete Options dialog box appears.

Select one of the following options:

Selected Reports - To delete the reports in the Batch Processor that you have selected.

Printed Reports - To delete the reports in the Batch Processor that have a Printed or Displayed status.

Sent Reports - To delete electronic claims in the Batch Processor that have a Sent status.

All Reports - To delete all reports in the Batch Processor

Click OK.

A confirmation message appears.

Note: If reports that have been generated in multiple clinics are selected, the "Office, Report Multiple Clinics" security right is required.

Click Yes.
